Holy smokes did we have the best time working with Mtich and Jess at Antelope Island for their engagement session. When Jess first mentioned Antelope Island for their engagement session, I was totally game. Having had captured a proposal there in 2022, I had witnessed how beautiful Antelope Island could be first hand. But having an opportunity to explore this place further was a gift, and it was even more beautiful than I remembered. There's so much variety in the landscape on the island, and the wildlife adds an extra element for an unforgettable experience. Hanging out with Mitch and Jess was like hanging out with old friends because we share many of the same interests. I wasn't sure how the session would go, having possibly torn my ACL skiing four days earlier, but Mitch and Jess were so understanding and Jason stepped into do what I couldn't. We cannot wait to work with Mitch and Jess again in October for their Montana elopement!

Mitch proposed to Jess on a day trip to Shenendoah National Park. Upon arrival, they discovered that the entry gate to the park was closed, having snowed the night before. They switched planned and decided to hike into the park and hike a section of the Appalachian Trail in the snow. They were following deer up the trail, and when they reached a false summit, Mitch passed Jess the binoculars to watch the deer for a bit. Now Jess had stumbled across the ring in their dresser a few weeks before the the proposal. So she may have kept the binoculars up a big longer than necessary to allow Mitch to get into place. And lo' and behold, when she lowered the binoculars, he was down on one knee proposing. Jess of course said yes! Enjoy their beautiful, Utah engagement!
