Rob + Amanda

// A Rainy, One barn farm mifflinburg Wedding

I think everyone fears rain on their wedding day. It’s a natural fear what with the indoor ceremony contingencies, trying to keep guests comfortable and out of the rain, and the fear of ruined hair and damp clothing. But there’s real magic in a rainy wedding day when we work with couples that embrace the weather. We seldomly have weddings where it’s predicted to downpour all day, and boy was it predicted to downpour all day on Rob + Amanda’s wedding day. But Rob and Amanda embraced the day with grace, ease and flexibility. They started out their day getting ready in the bridal and groom suites at One Barn Farm. They had an emotional first look in the manor house followed by a private vow reading. With the use of umbrellas, they wanted to move forward with getting some outside photos prior to the ceremony, and we found breaks in the rain that made photos bearable. They moved their ceremony inside and we caught a break in the rain for some umbrella-less photos after the ceremony. They had a wonderful reception and the dance floor was packed all evening. Rob and Amanda are such a genuinely kind and wonderful couple. I think when you detatch your wedding day from Instagram trends, and focus on what the day is about, you allow the day to thrive no matter the weather. I’m so grateful that Rob and Amanda chose us to capture their wedding day. Enjoy their stunning One Barn Farm Wedding!
