Mitch + Jess
A Trout Creek, Montana Elopement
"Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope." - Maya Angelou

Mitch and Jess had the most stunning elopement in Trout Creek, Montana. When we first started talking about their elopement, Mitch and Jess originally planned on eloping in Washington state, however, after some re-evaluation they decided they wanted to go somewhere more secluded and choose an Airbnb that gave them the freedom to host family and friends for their dream wedding. Their venue wound up being perfect, with acres of land to have a fun reception as well as an outdoors, woodsy ceremony.
They started out the day setting up and getting ready with their family and friends. We then packed up and drove up a mountain to a scenic hike Mitch and Jess had found on AllTrails. However, the appointed trailhead was not where our maps said it was going to be, so we found ourselves driving, and then driving some more as the road grew increasingly sketchy. The road did eventually dead end at the trailhead and the hike turned out to be more perfect than Mitch and Jess could have dreamed. There wasn't another soul to be found for miles. Jess and Mitch got dressed on the hike and transitioned right into a first look. The dress was perfect on Jess and Mitch was clearly stunned. They had an emotional private vow reading and we explored the wilderness area. It threatened to rain most of the morning, but it turned out to the be perfect afternoon. When we got back to the cabin, Jess had a first look with her father, followed by their outdoors ceremony, officiated by Jess's brother. Their reception was a blast, and it was the laid-back evening they were hoping for. Their wedding day was an absolute dream, and I am so grateful that they chose Jason and I to capture their big day! Enjoy their stunning, Trout Creek, Montana elopement!
