"We are who we are, because of those we choose to love and because of those who love us." - Kate Mosse
9-21-24

When Janelle announced her engagement to the family back in the winter and announced that their wedding date was 9/21/24, while I was ecstatic for Janelle, I was saddened we couldn't attend the wedding because 9/21 was an extremely popular date that we had been booked for almost a year at that point. These are however the sacrifices that you make sometimes as a wedding photographer because I would never expect any future bride to work around my existing schedule. Janelle however, wanting all of her family in attendance, was extremely gracious and worked with our schedule and scheduled her luncheon so that we would be able to attend. In return, I offered her wedding photography, and it was my utmost joy to capture the wedding of my sister-in-law and her new husband, Kevin.

Janelle and her bridesmaids got ready at her friend's house, bright and early at 6:30am. Kevin came to the house and he and Janelle had an adorable first look. Their whole bridal party met them at the house, and they all drove out to the pastor's house to make it official. After the ceremony, we went to Faylor Lake, which had so much sentiment for both Kevin and Janelle. This was the lake where Kevin and Janelle had their first date and then where Kevin proposed. The leaves were just starting to turn, and the moody day made the colors around the lake pop. Their bridal party was also a blast to work with. After photos, we packed up and went to their reception at Chapman Chapel. They put so much thought into their stunning decor, and it was a joy chatting with family and seeing Kevin and Janelle so happy. I know these two are going to have the most incredible marriage and we can't wait to see them grow throughout the years. Enjoy their beautiful, fall wedding!
