"When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible."

We had the most amazing time working with Joey and Hannah for their colorful, backyard wedding! Joey and Hannah eloped last year in Colorado and we had the joy of capturing their elopement in the mountains. They wanted to celebrate with family and friends and had a vow renewal and reception this year, and it was the perfect day. Hannah started the day getting ready in her parent's house, and had a first look with her dad in their backyard. She also had a first look with Joey, and they left plenty of time for photos prior to their ceremony. As a crazy thunderstorm rolled in, Hannah and Joey had their outdoors ceremony surrounded by the people who love them most. Their reception was in the barn, which had been prepared with love and hard work for their big day. The farm was originally Hannah's grandparents', and it was passed on to her parents, so the location was incredibly meaningful to everyone involved. They painted the inside of the barn white to get it ready for the big day, and they did everything from the flowers to the signage themselves. Before we left, Hannah and Joey had photos with the highland cows during golden hour. Their backyard wedding was an absolute blast, and it was such a joy to capture! Enjoy their beautiful and colorful, backyard wedding!
