"To love someone is nothing, to be loved by someone is something, but to be loved by the one you love is everything." - Bill Russell
We had such an incredible time hanging out with George and Emily in Bethany Beach for their engagement session! Bethany Beach is very near and dear to George and Emily's hearts as they have a beach house at Bethany and that's also where they got engaged, so it was the obvious choice when it came to choosing a location for their engagement session! We started their session on some of the trails outside of Bethany and ended at the beach. The beach was nearly vacant by the time we arrived, which was perfect for photos. Thunderstorms had threatened, but the weather held out and their engagement session was perfect! George and Emily had an intimate DC wedding in mid-July and we can't wait to share those photos in the coming weeks as well!
George proposed to Emily on one of their trips to their beach house in Bethany last year. George had originally planned on proposing to Emily on the beach in the evening, after first getting ice cream and going for a walk on the beach. It was their last night at the beach, and it was the perfect time to pop the question. When Emily said she wasn't feeling ice cream that evening, George knew he had to readjust the plan. He was so excited and nervous to propose that he dropped to his knee on the floor of their bedroom in their beach house and asked Emily to marry him. She of course said yes! They were then able to celebrate with family, and with George's neice and nephew before they went to bed. George and Emily then spent the rest of the evening at the beach. Enjoy their beautiful, Bethany Beach engagement session!
