Ryan + Jagriti // A Rainy and Romantic, New York City Engagement

Ryan and Jagriti's engagement session was, hands-down, the rainiest session we've ever shot. We've had sessions where it's rained on and off, or sessions where it's misted the entire time. But it rained hard for all of Ryan and Jagriti's session, and basically that entire day. It was also one of the most fun, beautiful, silly, amazing sessions we've ever shot as well. Ryan and Jagriti just decided to dance in the rain with their umbrellas and trusted our vision in the rain. The result was photos that looked like they were straight out of the Notebook with deserted New York City sidewalks on account of the rain. This will be a session I will never forget. I loved getting to know Ryan and Jagriti better. They have such beautiful souls, and are two of the kindest people and I cannot wait for their wedding in September!

Ryan proposed to Jagriti while they were in vacation in Hawaii. They were on the island of O'ahu and decided to head up to Tantalus lookout point to check out the views. They were asked to take some photos of another group of people, and then Ryan asked that group to take a photo of the two of them. When Ryan got down on one knee, Jagriti's first thought was "does he really need to tie his shoe right now?" So when he asked her to marry him she was completely caught off guard. She of course said yes and had the most incredible vacation in Hawaii! Enjoy their beautiful NYC engagement session!
