Jake + Jess // A Fall, Ricketts Glen Engagement

We had the best time working with Jake and Jess at Ricketts Glen for their engagement session! Jake and Jess are both driven and adventurous and love the outdoors, so Ricketts Glen was the perfect location for their engagement photos! We had so much fun exploring the falls system with these two and getting to know them a little better. The 5 mile, top to bottom falls hike at Ricketts Glen is not for the faint of heart for photos, but Jake and Jess were up for anything. When I told them to stand in front of a waterfall, they were up for rock climbing and walking right up to the face of the waterfall. We cannot wait for their wedding day at Wind in the Willows next November!

Jake proposed to Jess at Disney World while they were there on their family vacation. Jake was so careful about Jess not finding the ring in the packing process, that he sent it to Jess's mom and stepdad who drove it to Jake's brother in New York to fly with the ring to Disney. Jess had herself convinced that the proposal wasn't going to happen while they were on vacation, so when Jake asked her to marry him at Magic Kingdom, she was truly shocked! She of course said yes!
