"I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making me. I love you for the part of me that you bring out." - Elizabeth Barrett Browning
We had such a great time working with Brian and Jess for their engagement session at Hickory Run State Park. Brian and Jess are such fun people. They're adventurous, they're well-traveled, and truly they were up for anything. We hadn't planned this ahead of time, but I suggested to Jess that maybe they got into the water at the end of their session, and she was totally game. Poor Brian who didn't bring a change of pants wasn't clued into the plan but was still up for skipping through the lake in his sole pair of pants. These two are our ideal clients to a Tee (golfing pun for Brian), and we cannot wait for their big day next year!
Brian proposed to Jess on their trip to Paris. The trip was a surprise. In the run up to their trip however, Brian kept dropping little hints like giving Jess croissants, Boudreaux wine, and they watched the movie 'Ratatouille'. Eventually, he surprised her with a plane ticket, and they were so excited for their trip. Brian was acting strange in the run up to their trip, but Jess had just taken that for travel stress as their Airbnb in Paris cancelled on them 20 hours before they landed. When they landed, Jess was exhausted from traveling and they went to go their new lodging and Jess took a nap. They then freshened up and hit the city. The first stop was the Eiffel Tower. Brian wanted to propose as soon as they got there because he had the ring in his pocket all through traveling, and he was a ball of nerves. So when they got to the Eiffel Tower, they started to take photos. They asked two other tourists to take a photo for them. When Brian got down on his knee, the tourists were clued into what was happening and took a video. Jess of course said yes! Enjoy their beautiful Hickory Run engagement session!
