"If you have ever deeply loved another person you will bear witness to the fact that love gives us the power to transcend our own limitations and fears for the sake of the beloved." - Tonia Woolever
We had so much fun hanging out with Andrew and Bethany at Longwood Gardens for their engagement session. Bethany loves gardening and spending time her flower beds in the spring, so at their initial meeting they both knew they would love to have their engagement photos taken at Longwood Gardens. They love Longwood Gardens and have been to Longwood in all seasons but spring (we had also never been to Longwood Gardens in the spring), so this was going to be a first for all of us. And my word, Longwood in spring did not disappoint. Not only were their flower beds popping with bright spring colors, but their flowering trees were also in full bloom as well. We cannot wait to capture Andrew + Bethany's big day next May at the gorgeous Stone Mill Inn!
Andrew and Bethany were out in California in December visiting friends when Andrew decided to ask Bethany to marry him. They were traveling between two sets of friends and had a little extra time to kill. So they took a detour through wine country to pass the time. They decided to stop at Callaway Vineyard & Winery for a tasting. It had rained most of the day, but when they went out on to the patio for their tasting, the rain had cleared up, and because it was a Thursday they had the winery all to themselves. There was even a sunset over the vineyard and when Bethany started taking photos, Andrew bolted off and said he would be right back. Bethany assumed he was just going to the bathroom. When he returned, he had the ring in tow and asked Bethany to marry him. She of course said yes! Enjoy their beautiful Longwood Gardens engagement session!
