"Happiness is holding someone in your arms and knowing you hold the whole world." - Orhan Pamuk
We had such a wonderful time hanging out with Brett + Emily for their engagement session at Ricketts Glen. At our initial meeting, Brett knew he wanted to do a winter engagement session, but Emily was hesitant. When they moved their wedding from 2023 up to an elopement in 2022, Emily jumped on board with the winter engagement photos. And we had an absolute blast with these two. They are so fun, and hanging out with them was like hanging out with old friends. Brett and Jason hit it off and hiked together and talked sports while Emily and I hiked together and talked about wedding planning and travels. Brett and Emily had so much fun that they went back and hiked Ricketts Glen again just a few weeks after their session. I am looking forward to their October elopement more than I can possibly express!
Brett proposed to Emily on a hot air balloon ride. Brett is terribly afraid of heights, but Emily assumed that he was just trying to push himself out of his comfort zone when he booked the ride. Brett was so nervous the entire day, which was a combination of nerves and the fact that he was preparing to propose. Emily kept trying to comfort him, but didn't realize that his nerves were multi-faceted. On the flight, Brett asked Emily to marry him, and she said yes! Enjoy their beautiful and snowy Ricketts Glen engagement session!
