Bryan + Makenzie // A Swatara State Park Engagement

November 08, 2022

"You are my heart, my life, my one and only thought." - Arthur Conan Doyle

We had the best time exploring Swatara State Park with Bryan and Makenzie for their engagement session. This was our first time at Swatara State Park, but we managed to find some really beautiful spots for photos and hiked almost four miles in total with Makenzie and Bryan. These two are the absolute sweetest humans, and we know that their wedding day is going to be beautiful. We can't wait to watch these two get married at their church and Wind in the Willows in July!

Bryan and Makenzie met at work with the help of their co-workers who acted as matchmakers. They met during COVID when there wasn't much to do other than go for long walks that drove meaningful conversations. We've seen a lot of couples forged in the era of COVID and I know these two are going to have an incredibly strong marriage because of what they had to go through to be together in the beginning. They had to cancel their second date because Makenzie got COVID and had to quarantine in her parent's driveway. Bryan Facetimed her every night she was in quarantine and brought her lunch and goodies. Bryan proposed to Makenzie by setting up a table in his backyard complete with candles, flowers and photos. Makenzie's parents hid in the shed taking photos of the proposal, while Bryan led her into the yard and launched into his speech about how they were perfect together and they make a great team. Eventually he asked her to marry him and Makenzie said yes! They celebrated the rest of the weekend with their family and friends as it was the 4th of July! Enjoy their beautiful, fall, Swatara State Park engagement session!
