"A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person." - Mignon McLaughlin

Richard and Courtney had the most incredible elopement day in Shenandoah National Park. They started their day with their family and friends at the big cabin Airbnb they had rented for the weekend. Richard and the gents got ready upstairs while Courtney and the ladies got ready downstairs. Everyone was in high spirits as they prepared for the big day. Richard took a few minutes of devotional time to himself and then had some time to get photos with his groomsmen before leaving for the ceremony site. Before he left, he and Courtney decided to pray around a corner of the cabin to prepare themselves for the big day to come. Richard and Courtney had their ceremony at The Point Overlook once inside the park. The scramble down to their ceremony site wasn't extreme, but it was a gorgeous private spot for their ceremony. Their ceremony was beautiful and emotional, and finally Richard and Courtney were married!
After the ceremony, everyone left the park for the Lydia Mountain Lodge where they had an elopement luncheon. There were speeches, cake cutting, dinner, and Richard and Courtney signed their marriage license. We left with Richard and Courtney and ventured back into the park to hike the Upper Hawksbill Trail. There were only a few people at the top, but they quickly cleared out and we had the overlook to ourselves. Richard and Courtney had their first dance at the top followed by a private vow reading and lots of photos. Richard and Courtney are so fun-loving, patient and kind, and we loved every minute of their elopement day. Everyone should always have their wedding day exactly as they dream it should be, and Richard and Courtney made their big day their own. I know these two will have the most incredible marriage by keeping Jesus at the center of their marriage and a life full of national park adventures to come. Enjoy their beautiful Shenandoah National Park elopement!
