"Grow old with me! The best is yet to be..." - Robert Browning
We had so much fun working with Nick + Shayna at Cross Estate Gardens for their engagement session. In the weeks running up to their engagement session, we had been back and forth about their session location, but when Shayna sent me these beautiful gardens, I was sold. Nick and Shayna were the perfect couple to explore a new location with. They were up for anything including laying down in a grassy potentially tick-ridden field to get some great photos. Towards the end of their session, the authorities sped onto the property with sirens blaring. This left us wondering what the heck was going on. Apparently, there was a break-in on the property which led to our questioning as the authorities questioned everyone on the property (no we were not the ones to break in). I was just amazed by how calm, honest, kind and level-headed Nick and Shayna remained the entire time. These two are amazing and we are beyond excited for their big day at Sylvan Ridge Farms next May!
Nick proposed to Shayna on Christmas eve. They spent a quiet Christmas eve at home, and just after dinner Nick said to Shayna that he wanted her to open one present early. Shayna was already in her PJs, ready to relax for the night and had no idea what was coming next. Nick handed her the ring box, and Shayna was incredibly surprised when she opened it. Nick got down on one knee and popped the question. She of course said yes! They then left the next day for a ski trip in Colorado with friends to celebrate! Enjoy their beautiful Cross Estate Gardens engagement session!
