Josh + Cassie // A Snowy, Frozen Waterfall Engagement

"You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams." - Dr. Seuss

We had such an incredible time working with Josh + Cassie for their engagement session at Ricketts Glen State park. When I showed Josh + Cassie Ricketts Glen in the winter at their initial meeting, these two decided right there that was where they had to have their engagement photos taken. Ricketts Glen is a micro-climate, so it's always snowy in winter... but none of us were banking on it being as snowy as it was. We brought poles and traction footwear and the hike was still the most harrowing I've ever seen. But these two did the five mile hike in knee deep snow for some incredible photos, and I am so grateful they chose us as their wedding photographers.

Josh proposed to Cassie at John Wright Restaurant in Wrightsville PA. The plan was to go out for dinner, and before dinner Josh suggested they take a walk down to the river to look at the bridges. Cassie was NOT feeling the walk and gave him sass, but followed him down to the river none the less. Once down at the river, Josh got down on one knee to pop the question. He says he had a whole monologue written out in his head, but Cassie was in tears so he just cut to the chase. She of course said yes! After the proposal they had dinner at John Wright with about 20 of their family and friends! Enjoy their snowy frozen waterfall engagement session!
