"Love is a friendship that has caught fire." - Ann Landers

We had a wonderful time hanging out with Jon and Mallory for their engagement session! Their session started out at their apartment as they wanted to get some photos with their two black cats, Luna and Joey. The second we arrived, Joey ran under the couch and could not be coaxed back out for photos, so we settled for photos with just Luna. After photos in their apartment, we went to a little hiking trail adjoined to their apartment complex for some photos. For Jon + Mallory's second outfit, we loaded up the vehicles and drove to Valley Forge which was perfect for photos. Valley Forge is a location I've been dying to shoot at, so when Jon and Mallory suggested it, I was pretty excited. We had the most amazing time with these two and cannot wait for their backyard wedding next July!

Jon proposed to Mallory in the one way he knew she couldn't say no... by using the cats. Jon and Mallory have been together since high school, so their engagement was a long time in the works. Jon and Mallory were spending one Friday afternoon together at the pool over the summer. Jon left early because he said that he had to go get something back at the apartment while Mallory looked for takeout. When Mallory walked into the apartment, Luna ran up to her wearing a "Will you Marry my daddy?" bandana, and a few seconds later, Joey came out with a little bow tie wearing a fake ring around his collar. Jon followed the act by getting down on one knee and proposing and Mallory said yes! And yes, they did eventually get their takeout. Jon also gifted Mallory with a photo album containing photos from their first dance through their dating period, and it was the perfect engagement with just the two of them! Enjoy their at home and Valley Forge engagement session!
