"If you live to be a hundred, I want to be a hundred minus one day so I never have to live without you." - A.A. Milne
We had such an incredible time hanging out with Jake and Courtney in Lancaster City for their engagement session! Because Jake and Courtney are getting married next year at the beautiful Cypress House, a gorgeous manor venue with lush gardens, they wanted to do something completely different for their engagement session. Courtney wanted to do city engagement photos, but deciding on what city was the trick. Jake and Courtney lived in NYC, so New York was thrown around as an option as well as Philly, but ultimately they decided on Lancaster City. There's something so special about Lancaster city with its old brick buildings, cool bars, and picturesque alleyways. It has all the charm of the city without being completely overwhelming. We had the most amazing time hanging out with these two for their engagement session and can't wait for their big day at the Cypress House in September!
Jake proposed to Courtney on the day of Selinsgrove Brew Fest. Courtney had invited family and friends over to their place before the festivities began to hang out. As they were hanging out, Jake walked up to Courtney with a package and she was confused because she didn't remember ordering anything. So she opened the package in front of everyone and it was a sweatshirt with Jake's last name on the front along with the date of the engagement (7/17/21). So Jake immediately got down on one knee and asked Courtney to marry him. She said yes! Enjoy their beautiful fall, Lancaster City engagement!
