I don't think I can begin to describe what a joy Brandon + Kaitlin's wedding day was. I got an email from Kaitlin in March letting me know that they were switching up their wedding venue and they decided to have a backyard wedding instead. I think that decision was so important for these two amazing people, and that decision made for a wedding day that was completely and uniquely Brandon and Kaitlin. These two always wanted a smaller wedding, and during our first conversation at Kaitlin's brother Mark's wedding in 2018 (before they were even engaged), Kaitlin said that they would most likely just elope. So the backyard wedding they had was closer to the heart of our original conversation in 2018 than the wedding they originally planned. Kaitlin started the morning out at the Altland House Inn and Suites where two of her sister-in-laws did hair and makeup. They had such a beautiful and easy going wedding morning and then Kaitlin had a first look with her family. From there, Brandon and Kaitlin had a first look at Lake Meade at their officiant's property. They opted for a small ceremony with just immediate family, and their intimate ceremony was beautiful and emotional. They had a long cocktail hour when their reception guests arrived and then had a backyard tented reception in the evening. Brandon and Kaitlin are such kind people and it was the perfect laid-back wedding for these two! Enjoy their lovely, fall, lake-side wedding!
