"Grow old along with me! The best is yet to be..." - Robert Browning
As I start this blog post I'm honestly at a loss for words. I think Mike + Lesley's intimate Watkins Glen elopement was just one of the most beautiful things we've ever had the privilege of photographing. Their elopement was simple and beautiful, but also dramatic, packed with gorgeous sweeping landscapes powerful emotional moments. Mike and Lesley let me help them plan their elopement and that just meant the world to us that they would trust us in that way. They started their day at the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel, a gorgeous grand hotel overlooking Seneca lake, and then transitioned into a first look out by Seneca harbor. Lesley then changed and we traveled to Watkins Glen for photos prior to their ceremony. When we planned on being in the Glen around 5pmish, we were both just hoping the light would be good as I had only shot there one other time. The lighting in the glen was beyond my wildest dreams, and not only that, but it wasn't crowded either. Lesley then changed one last time for their ceremony at Castel Grisch, a winery along the lake. They had a little ceremony spot all set up for Mike and Lesley when they arrived. And then their little, intimate ceremony had me in tears. Mike and Lesley are just such genuine people, and this will just be an elopement I will never forget. Oh, and then of course we went to Ben + Jerry's for ice cream after their ceremony! Their elopement was so beautiful, and we are so excited for their reception in May! Enjoy their Watkins Glen and Seneca Lake elopement!
