"Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope." - Maya Angelou
We had so much fun with Rhys and Kaitlyn at their engagement session! These two are the sweetest, most joyous couple and it was so wonderful working with them. Rhys and Kaitlyn know that their time together is a gift and I felt that as I was with them. Rhys is in the navy and was at sea for the past several months. I know that they're treasuring their time together now that they're back together. These two have such a genuine love and I cannot wait for their big day in November!
Rhys and Kaitlyn's engagement story is really more of an elopement story lol. After 2 and a half years of dating, they knew that they were going to get married. Rhys and Kaitlyn just decided to have a courthouse elopement... pretty spur of the moment... and afterwards they both said "I can't believe we just did that!" They kept the elopement a complete secret for about a year! They knew they were going to have a big wedding later with family and friends so they saved their vows and ring exchange for their November wedding. After they eloped, they were back at their house and Rhys disappeared for a few minutes and came back with his grandmothers ring. That served as their "engagement" ring until they went and bought one last June. They're a little unconventional but it's so perfect and they're the most incredible couple. Enjoy their Little Buffalo State Park engagement!
