"To be loved is to feel the sun from both sides." - David Viscott
When we first met with Garret + Maddie, Maddie mentioned that they had already had engagement photos done. So the first thing she asked me was if there was ever anything I'd ever wanted to do with photos that I'd never had a couple willing to try. I always wanted to take a couple out on the river in a canoe all dressed up, to try to capture very romantic Notebook vibes. I love the river, and it's definitely a big source of inspiration for me so I wanted to share that with someone else. Garret + Maddie were up for the task and they paddled across the river with us, and then waded in for some amazing fishing shots as well. I could not ask for a more perfect engagement session. We had an incredible time with these two and we know their wedding day is going to be wonderful.
Garret proposed to Maddie while they were fishing. Maddie absolutely did not want to go fishing that day, but they packed up and headed for Penns Creek anyway. Garret asked Maddie if she would like pick out her lure and he got down on one knee with the tackle box with the ring in it and asked Maddie to marry him. She of course said yes and we can't wait to capture their big day in June! Enjoy their fall, Susquehanna River engagement session!
