"To be brave is to love someone unconditionally, without expecting anything in return. To just give. That takes courage." - Madonna
We had such a fantastic time hanging out with Bryant + Sarah for their engagement session. Their wedding next April at Historic Ashland will be our first shooting there, so Bryant and Sarah opted to have their engagement session at Historic Ashland so we could explore the property together. I honestly believe Bryant and Sarah are two of the most joyous people we've ever had the chance to work with. Their joy and love for Christ just radiates from them, and I think it's possible to be just a little happier by just being with these two. They just giggled and goofed around the whole session and that's what we love to see. We can't wait to capture their big day in 2022!
Bryant proposed to Sarah on an impromptu trip to the Poconos. They didn't go to many trips together, so when he planned the trip, booked the Airbnb and everything, Sarah was extremely suspicious. The first night of their trip, Bryant planned a picnic at Lake Wallenpaupack. They enjoyed their picnic at lake's edge watching the sunset when a boat with a bunch of guys drove by and yelled "PROPOSE!"... which anticlimactically was not Bryant's cue to propose. After the picnic they went for a walk and found a big rock away from the shore, somewhat in the lake itself, and scrambled onto the rock... which is where Bryant asked Sarah to marry him. She probably said yes... she's not sure though because she has absolutely recollection of what happened after he asked. She consciously blacked out. Luckily Bryant caught the whole thing on video and there was someone at lake's edge taking photos of them so there are SOME memories of the proposal! Enjoy their Historic Ashland engagement session!
