"I have found for the first time what I can truly love - I have found you." - Charolette Bronte, Jane Eyre

We had such an incredible time exploring Philadelphia with Sean + Mackenzie. In my mind, their session was the best way that we could have possibly opened 2020 engagement sessions. I love when couples opt to have their engagement sessions in the winter months because we're able to give them the entire day for their engagement session. We started at Independence hall, then went over to Love Park, and ended at Cherry Street Pier with a couple little stops in between. They then treated us to dinner after their session! These two are wonderful and it was just a joy hanging out with them for their session. We cannot wait for their big day in October!

On the morning of their engagement, Mackenzie had an idea that Sean was going to propose. Her sister was in town (which was always important to her that her sister was there for her engagement) and Sean had been acting kind of weird recently. When he left at 6am unexpectedly, Mackenzie had the feeling that he was running out to pick up the ring, but when he returned with UPS bags Mackenzie was thrown off the trail believing that he had just been running errands all morning. So they left for a day at the Philadelphia zoo, and when he didn't propose at the otter exhibit (it was a running joke that this would be the perfect spot to propose because Mackenzie LOVES otters), she gave up hope for the day. On the way home, Sean told her they were going to walk through a park to get to a Beer Garden on the other side. She agreed to the walk, and halfway through the park, in a gorgeous spot lined with Cherry Trees, Sean got down on one knee and proposed. Mackenzie's initial reaction was priceless, and she said yes! They then went to an engagement party that Sean put together with the help of Mackenzie's family afterwards. Enjoy their gorgeous winter, Philadelphia engagement session!
